Week 4 - Clean eating with detoxifying foods!
Woohoo! You've made it to week 4 of our sustainable wellness journey!
If you’re just joining, you might want to check out weeks 1-3 where we focused on exercise, hydration, and getting rid of unwanted toxins. Today, we embark on week #4, where we focus on all the detoxifying, cleansing foods that we should be putting in!
ONE STEP CLOSER TO A HEALTHIER YOU
Now that your body is enjoying the benefits of daily or weekly exercise and regular hydration, your entire being is ready to be fueled with energy that doesn’t just get you through the day, but creates a happier, more energetic version of yourself!
Before we continue on our journey, we need to help our body adjust to eating habits that will be both sustainable and delicious. Which is why this week, we are focusing on increasing our consumption of naturally detoxifying foods.
FOCUS ON SULFUR RICH, DETOXIFYING FOODS
The most natural, detoxifying foods are (no surprise here) organic fruits and vegetables. What you might not have known is that while the liver helps detoxify our bodies, foods high in sulfur actually help detoxify our liver! This makes incorporating sulfur-rich fruits and vegetables into your diet a great idea. Foods that contain significant amounts of sulfur include fibrous, non-leafy vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, onions, and garlic, and kale.
Three weeks in, two to go! Let’s do this!
