We all get stressed from time to time. These days it seems turning on the news, opening up social media or even visiting a grocery store can cause a lot of stress. Stress can be very hard on the body, and many of us are unaware to the imbalances and changes stress can have on us. Recent scientific studies have indicated that stress could be one of the main causes of many auto-immune diseases including cancer. Here are some ways stress can negatively affect your health:
1. Evidence shows that increased cortisol hormone levels caused by prolonged stress can lead to overall weight gain.
2. Chronic stress creates the scene for high blood pressure conditions or even a stroke.
3. Chronic Fatigue occurs when muscles become tight and become over-worked and leave us with constant agony.
4.Recent studies are now linking stress with a multiple of conditions. Stress related conditions, include depression, migraine headaches, chronic fatigue syndrome, reproductive disorders, skin imbalances and many others.

We're living in a stressful time. COVID-19 has disrupted life as we know it, and some of us may be dealing with added fear and anxiety around the unknown and uncertainty about the disease.
